America Serving the Hungry was founded in 2020 by Pastor and Entrepreneur Donald C. Garner, driven by a divine calling to feed the hungry. Donald's journey is deeply personal; he and his family once faced the hardships of food insecurity and homelessness. Overcoming these challenges ignited his passion and empathy for those in need, fueling his unwavering commitment to fight against hunger and poverty.

Donald brings over 25 years of invaluable experience in the nonprofit sector, corporate sales, marketing, and management. His unique blend of personal resilience and professional expertise is the cornerstone of America Serving the Hungry, ensuring that our mission is not just about providing food, but also about fostering hope and lasting change in our communities.

 

 

America Serving the Hungry emerged from a collective desire to address the pressing issue of hunger and poverty within our communities. Recognizing the profound impact of food insecurity on individuals and families, we embarked on a mission to provide nourishment and support to those facing difficult circumstances.

OUR MISSION

 

America Serving the Hungry's mission is to locally and nationally empower low to moderately low-income individuals, families, senior citizens, and underserved communities with food, education, essential resources, and economic and domestic stability programs. By actively collaborating with and supporting food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters, we fortify the sustainability of our initiatives, ensuring impactful and lasting support for those in need.
